WHAT IS THE VISUAL IDENTITY PROCESS LIKE?
After your intro call, I will create a detailed proposal for your review. Upon agreement, you will sign the contract/estimate and depending on the size of the project I will invoice for the initial 50% and get started. We’ll begin with a kickoff meeting so I can get a better understanding of your business, strengths, challenges and goals for the future. This would lead into the research/discovery phase, in which we would dive deeper into your brand and present you stylescapes for review. Stylescapes are a carefully collected combination of images, textures, typography, and colors to communicate a certain look and feel of a brand or website. Design reviews are typically over a screenshare video call, in which we walk you through the strategy and thinking behind each concept. We discuss in detail, and go through several rounds of exploration and refinement. Upon approval, I develop, finalize and optimize all deliverables, then invoice for the final 50%.
WHAT IS THE TYPICAL TURNAROUND TIME?
This varies depending on the scope of the project, but generally speaking I present the first design/stylescape review within 5-7 business days, and refine further from there. I will provide a detailed project timeline so we can ensure we stay on track for any deadlines you have.
Need something designed yesterday? I can accommodate most tight deadlines with an additional rush fee.
HOW DOES YOUR PAYMENT STRUCTURE WORK?
For most projects, I require an
initial 50% payment before work begins, and
final 50% payment upon completion of the project. For hourly and retainer projects, which I recommend for long-term ongoing work, I invoice on the first business day of each month. Acceptable payment methods include Transfewise, Paypal and Bank Transfer.
WHO OWNS THE RIGHTS TO THE DESIGNS YOU CREATE FOR ME?
You do. I don’t believe in holding files or rights hostage. Upon completion of the final 50% payment, you receive your final files and are free to use them as you like. Keep in mind that I retain the right to feature what I created for you on my website for marketing purposes. If you want me to not show your project in my portfolio, please, let me know before the project start as it may cause extra charge.
