HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO DESIGN A LOGO?

I HELP BUSINESSES GROW & GET RESULTS BY CREATING LOGOS & BRAND IDENTITIES THAT ARE BACKED BY STRATEGY.

Start a Project

The logo is the signature of the brand and one of the company’s most valuable assets. It is the only element that will symbolize the brand more than anything else, and that is the first thing that clients will see. A good logo design identifies the business and conveys an important message. The logo must be simple, unique, memorable, versatile, and capable of working in a monochrome colour version. Therefore, a logo design is essential for advertising any product or service.

What does the process should include?

The designer has to collect as much information as possible about the business and its service/product. The best way to do this is a brand strategy session or if a strategy is already in place, you need to have an in-depth discovery session so the designer can understand the business needs.

Normally, you will need to answer questions like:

– What is your target audience?
– How do you differ from your competitors? Etc.

He will research the industry and competition. During this phase, the designer will identify the competitors’ brand and industry trends and will look for various ways to differentiate from the competitors. It is very important that your logo design does not look the same like others. The time frame depends on the size of the project but should be around one to two weeks of time.

Once the designer has all the information, he will decide what type of logo will be the best solution for the company and its customers. He will work on different concepts. Every designer has its own process, but at this stage, they should sketch and develop logo design concepts. The designer will create a vector version of the concepts and create the presentation. This is the longest part of the process, as the designer will seek for inspiration and the idea creation takes time too. The time frame will depend on your agreement of the number of presented concepts, but it will be around one to two weeks of time.

What else has an impact on the design process?

The length of every project is different. There are factors like how many concepts and versions are needed as well as the number of revisions. A brand strategy will give the guideline to the designer so he can provide the best option for you. If you do not have one, I strongly recommend creating one, as your core values need to be reflected in the logo. If you do not have a brand strategy or would like to discuss it just book discovery session and I will offer you advice and guidance and you will have the information, you need to move your brand forward.

In conclusion, the logo represents the company’s ideas, nature, values and vision for the future. The purpose of the logo is to create a lasting impression in people’s minds about the company and its values. Therefore, people must be able to link the quality of the company and its values through its logo. The design of the unique and long-lasting logo plays a pivotal role in building the brand image of the company. There is no specific time required to design a logo, but most designers try to do so in about two to four weeks.
